About the website
The website distributes information about matters that fall under the mandate of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the organisation and tasks of the ministry and the missions abroad, the objectives of the activities, and topical issues.
- The material on the front page includes the most recent news, press releases and information about services provided by the Ministry. Information is given in Finnish, Swedish and English. However, all materials are not necessarily available in all three languages, and some information is provided in other languages.
- The websites of the missions abroad complement the provision of information in different languages.
- Links to the social media are also given on the website. Visitors can send their comments via the social media channels or the blog section.
The topics of the main menu correspond to the mandate, tasks and services of the Ministry. We also provide separate links to other websites, such as Finland’s presidencies or different summit meetings. Topical material relating to them can be found under the subsections of the main menu.
The Services section provides information about travel issues, visa requirements, preparation for crisis situations, nationality issues and other consular matters.
The Missions section presents the missions of Finland in different countries and to international organisations and the European Union.
