Participants selected to Development Academy 2024

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs will organise an induction course into global development issues for journalists in January–February 2024. Altogether 38 journalists applied for and 10 were selected to the Development Academy now organised for the twelfth time.

The Development Academy, organised by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, aims to deepen the participants’ knowledge of global development issues and to give them a holistic picture of Finland’s development policy and development cooperation. The special focus of the Development Academy 2024 is the links between trade and development.

The Development Academy includes two seminar days in Helsinki and a field visit to a country central to Finland's development cooperation. In 2024, course participants will visit Zambia.
