Finnish forestry and bioeconomy companies will accompany Minister Tavio to Nova Scotia to meet the province’s leaders and explore opportunities for cooperation with local companies. In Ottawa, Minister Tavio will meet Mary Ng, the Canadian Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development.

“Nova Scotia is a fertile market for Finnish companies. The region’s forestry and bioeconomy need to be intensified and the clean energy transition supported. Finnish companies can offer solutions for sustainable and efficient forest management, including digital applications, education, forest machinery, state-of-the-art sawmilling systems and efficient utilisation of forest industry side-streams,” says Minister Tavio.

In Ottawa, Minister Tavio and Canadian Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development Mary Ng will discuss enhancing bilateral commercial and economic cooperation between Finland and Canada and topical global trade and economic policy issues. Minister Tavio will also meet Canada’s Minister of Northern Affairs Dan Vandal in Ottawa.
