Finnish-Pacific Project to Reduce Vulnerability of the Pacific Island Countries´ livelihoods to the Effects of Climate Change (appraisal)
The Tender must be received by the Ministry not later than on the 15th of March 2012 at 16.00.
Purpose of the project is to develope in participatory way sustainable and integrated disaster risk management and climate change adaptation plans, and early warning, weather and climate services for the villages in Pacific Island Countries.
The adaptation approach is based on the development of capacity of villages to prepare and respond to the changing weather patterns and climate trends by using improved services produced by National Meteorological Institutions.
The project covers 15 Pacific countries and is implemented by SPREP - Secreteriat of the Pacific Regional Environmental Programme.
