Roving Ambassadors perform their duties from the Foreign Ministry in Helsinki, acting as diplomatic representatives of Finland in countries within their area of responsibility. They handle an agreed portion of the duties of the Finnish embassies. Roving Ambassadors work under the direction of the Secretary of State and in cooperation with the relevant divisions and units that handle relations with the regions for which they are responsible.
