Within the unit, the International Media Relations Group arranges visits for mainly political and economic journalists, and assists media in connection with state visits, other high-level visits and major international meetings.

Additionally, the International Press Center offers a wide range of services to foreign correspondents as well as working facilities for both resident and visiting foreign journalists.

The International Media Relations Group organizes also the Foreign Correspondents’ Programme (FCP), an annual scholarship awarded annually by the MFA to newly graduated journalists.

For media representatives arriving in Finland to report on the parliamentary or presidential elections, the Ministry offers accreditation service, information about candidates, webcasts and useful contact information and links.

The Culture Group is responsible for cultural diplomacy, and arranges visits for journalists on that field.
